Batteries of the future?!

Traditional vehicle batteries may become a thing of the past. 

Volvo have taken the current process and turned it on it's head! They have developed a method of storing energy in car body panels, this advanced technology could replace conventional hybrid and electric batteries in the future.

As part of an EU-funded project, the engineers at Volvo have come up with an amazing way of making lightweight energy storage components. In other words, these 'nano batteries' are integrated in the car body panels.
